Our Structure
Scientella operates through a hub-and-spoke model, with a national Headquarters (HQ) team working alongside student-led high school chapters.
Together, these groups collaborate to deliver programming, expand access to STEM opportunities, and build a community of young women leaders.

Headquarters (HQ)
Scientella’s Headquarters team - known as the “Steministas” - includes the General Manager, HQ Student Leaders, and an Advisory Board of STEM professionals.
The HQ team oversees the organization’s strategy and operations, including:
• Career Exploration Match programming
• Student and professional engagement
• Partnerships with STEM companies and organizations
• Communications and outreach
• Chapter support and leadership development
• Fundraising and scholarshipsEach year, a small cohort of national HQ Student Leaders from different chapters take on specialized roles supporting Scientella’s programs and operations.
Scientella’s Advisory Board includes professionals from companies such as Illumina, ResMed, and Qualcomm, who provide mentorship, industry insight, and organizational guidance.

Chapters
Scientella chapters operate as student-led high school clubs that bring Scientella programming directly to local communities.
Chapter officers recruit and mentor members, coordinate participation in career exploration matches, and organize local STEM initiatives.
Chapters provide an important leadership pathway for students to deepen their involvement and impact.
Today, Scientella has 16 active international chapters across five U.S. states (CA, TX, MA, NC, FL), as well as India and Kenya.
